Tammy Leigh Kahn writes contemporary fiction set in New England. Her work explores friendship, memory, family, and the ways technology quietly changes how we understand ourselves and one another.

She spends much of her time between Massachusetts and the White Mountains of New Hampshire, where the landscapes and small communities that inspire her fiction continue to shape the stories she tells. The historic inns of North Conway, the salt-scrubbed dockyards of Cape Ann, the cold light of a January morning over a frozen lake — these are her favorite places.

Before turning to fiction, Tammy founded several technology companies and spent years building businesses at the intersection of technology and communication. Those experiences continue to inform her fascination with how people create meaning, preserve memories, and navigate change — themes that quietly thread through her novels.

Her debut novel, The Light Behind the Mountain, is forthcoming.
